“The Treasure of Montecristo” premiered in Spain
Montecristo Elba, first limited edition 2025, was presented this Saturday, October 25, in Las Ventas bullring in Madrid.

Announced at the 25th Festival del Habano last February, the Montecristo Elba Limited Edition 2025 was presented to the public on Saturday, October 25 in Madrid, during the annual Club Pasión Habanos party, in Las Ventas bullring, a major bullfighting venue.
Juan Girón, Communications Director of Tabacalera (co-shareholder of Habanos S.A. and Habanos exclusive distributor in Spain), opened this evening, entitled “The Treasure of Montecristo”, by paying tribute to Morante de la Puebla, the Spanish bullfighter who announced his retirement on October 12th.
He then presented the star of the evening, 146 mm long with a cepo of 54, as “one of the most elegant cigars in the Habanos world.”
Montecristo Elba LE 2025 commemorates the brand’s 90th anniversary and bears a commemorative foot ring. It will initially be available in special boxes of five (10,000 copies) reserved for the Spanish market, and will later be available in boxes of 20 (see photo below) in Spain and elsewhere.
Traditionally, the country hosting the launch event enjoys an exclusivity period of a few weeks to a few months. It is unknown when Montecristo Elba LE 2025 will be available in other markets.
The other 2025 limited edition, the Punch Princesas (135 mm x 52 mm), will be presented on December 6th in Cyprus.
