Two new Habanos cigars available in Switzerland on Tuesday August 8

The Bolivar New Gold Medal and the La Gloria Cubana Turquinos will be available tomorrow, Tuesday August 8, at the Casas del Habano stores in the Swiss Confederation.

The Bolivar New Gold Medal (165 mm x 48, LCDH exclusive) and the La Gloria Cubana Turquinos (141 mm x 50) were presented to the public during the XXIII Festival del Habano, last February (see L’ADC English Edition #12).

The Bolivar New Gold Medal and the La Gloria Cubana Turquinos will be available from Tuesday August 8 in Swiss LCDH stores, then, a week later, in Swiss Habanos Specialists.

Their relatively rapid arrival on certain markets, like that of Partagás Aliados, seems to confirm the analysis we made after the XXIII Festival de Habano. Habanos S.A., facing major production delays (some “new releases” from previous years have not yet officially launched), had chosen to focus its announcements on references already produced or in production. Moreover, for the first time in the history of the Festival del Habano, a few boxes of the Bolivar New Gold Medal had been offered for sale during the evening devoted to LCDH franchises; a few La Gloria Cubana Turquinos also appeared in shops in Havana during the Festival.

The tastings of these two new cigars will be available in the 2024 Havanoscope, to be printed in English for the very first time in Q4 2024.
