Inauguration of La Casa del Habano Montreux (Switzerland)
The Cuban franchise is located in the Fairmont Palace in Montreux on the shores of Lake Geneva.

“This is the first La Casa del Habano (LCDH) franchise located in a 5-star hotel in Switzerland,” proudly announced Yann Mon Baron, who recently inaugurated the new establishment with his father, in the presence of representatives from Intertabak AG (the distributor of Havana cigars in Switzerland) and Laura Ivet Pujol Torres, Cuba’s ambassador to the Swiss Confederation.
The venue, which was inaugurated on March 19, is located within the Fairmont Montreux Palace, with access from both the street and the hotel.
In accordance with the LCDH specifications, it features a walk-in humidor stocked with Habanos cigars, humidified storage lockers, and a smoking lounge (photo above). The latter, open to all customers during the day, can accommodate about 10 enthusiasts. Outside of the shop’s opening hours, it is accessible only to members of the Cigare Club Montreux (CCM) with a badge.
The service of drinks in the smoking room is provided by the hotel staff via a serving hatch.
