The Very Rare Cohiba Novedosos Arrive In Andorra
Announced in 2019, this cigar, reserved for La Casa del Habano franchises and Habanos Specialists stores, was until now practically impossible to find.
Some Cohiba Novedosos (LCDH + HS) have been available for a few days in the Principality of Andorra – and they are practically the first examples available worldwide since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Presented to the public at an event in Madrid in the fall of 2019, this edition, reserved for La Casa del Habano franchises and Habanos Specialist stores, is not strictly speaking a limited edition, and Habanos S.A. has never disclosed the number of units produced.
However, it seems that this particular model was one of the indirect victims of the pandemic that erupted in the spring of 2020 and disrupted production in Cuba for several months. So much so that many began to wonder if it hadn’t simply been abandoned by Habanos.
In the Benelux countries and Switzerland, according to our information, no boxes have ever been released by official distributors.
Although a few rare boxes were sold in Germany between the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, the cigar is now available in Andorra, as announced by Maori Tabacs, the exclusive Habanos distributor in the principality.
The Cohiba Novedosos is a grand robusto, 156 mm long with a 50 ring gauge (factory name: robustos no. 2). It is presented in a specially designed box with a satin black finish. This very specific box may also partly explain the delivery delays.
The box of 25 cigars is offered at €5,350 in Andorra, or €214 per cigar. The same box is registered at €5,600 in the French Official Journal (€224 per cigar), but it is unknown whether it will be available for sale in France in the near future.
