A Special Regional Edition Celebrating 60 Years of Habanos in the Benelux
Given the introduction of plain packaging in a few weeks, the Bolivar Generales is probably the last regional edition in Belgium for a long time.
Released just a few days ago, the Bolivar Generales RE Belgium-Luxembourg 2025 is likely the last regional edition in Belgium for a long time. The country will impose plain packaging on handmade cigars starting June 1st. This is a stricter version of plain packaging because, unlike the Canadian system, for example, where the plain band is placed over the original band, in Belgium, bands will be completely prohibited.
The Bolivar Generales RE Belgium-Luxembourg is a figurado, 156 mm long with a ring gauge of 52 (factory name: piramides)
The cigar celebrates the 60th anniversary of Laguito 1492, the exclusive distributor of Cuban cigars in Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands (originally known as Robert Suter S.A. and then Cubacigar Benelux until 2006).
10,000 numbered boxes containing 10 cigars each were produced.
The Bolivar Generales RE Belgium-Luxembourg retails for €25 each.
