La Flor Dominicana introduces its first Canadian exclusive cigar

The “Exclusivo Canada” cigar was produced in a limited edition of 6 000.  The figurado measures 165 mm x 52 and comes in boxes of 20.  What is very interesting and cool about this cigar is that it features a special tobacco in the shape of a Maple Leaf on the wrapper.  The dark maple leaf contrasts with the light colored wrapper of the rest of the cigar.

As for the tobacco used, the Exclusivo Canada consists of aged Dominican long filler and binder tobacco, with a mix of ligero from a top Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper.

The cigars, which hit the Canadian shops in late 2023, come in cellophane, with the plain packaging band used in Canada.  However, the original LFD band is underneath it, and the 20 cigars come in a stylish red LFD box.  The cigar is rich, with notes of nuts, espresso and a little spicy due to the ligero addition.

It is nice to see other brands making regionals for smaller markets.
