Phoenicia’s Diplomaticos Genios introduced in Havana
The Diplomáticos Genios RE Phoenicia was presented to a hundred participants of the XXVth Festival del Habano, a few days before its release in Africa and the Middle East.

Despite a last-minute change of venue due to uncertain weather, around a hundred Havana enthusiasts were invited to the Packard Hotel in Havana on February 25 to attend the launch of the new regional edition of Phoenicia.
Amongst the attendees were Habanos Co-Presidents Maritza Carrillo González and Luis Sánchez-Harguindey, as well as presidents from its global distributor network. Or Fernando Dominguez, CEO of Tabacalera, which owns 50% of Habanos and belongs to a consortium of Asian investors.
The star of the evening was the Diplomaticos Genios, a regional edition marketed since the beginning of this week in the countries of the Phoenicia zone, that is, Africa, the Middle East, Greece and Cyprus.
The Genios vitola, first introduced in 2007, holds added significance as it marks the year Phoenicia Cyprus began its independent operations.
What makes this edition truly unique is its presentation in cabinet boxes of 50 cigars—marking the first cabinet of 50 for Diplomaticos— making this release a preferred collectible item amongst cigars collectors and aficionados. 200,000 cigars in cabinets of 50 were produced making 4000 boxes only.
