Drew Estate CEO Glenn Wolfson Passes Away

He had been leading Drew Estate since 2016—two years after the group was acquired by the American giant Swisher. Glenn Wolfson, CEO of Drew Estate since 2016, has passed away at the age of 70, the company announced in a statement on Monday, June 29. Last May, he had informed his teams that he was undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer.

Nicaragua: Spectacular fire in a Plasencia Cigars curing barn

The fire, probably caused by a spark, resulted in no injuries. 1,200 square meters of infrastructure were reduced to ashes.   A fire caused nearly $200,000 in losses on Friday, February 13, when it ravaged a drying warehouse belonging to Tabacos de Oriente de Nicaragua, a subsidiary of the Plasencia Cigars Group, one of the world’s largest cigar tobacco producers.
