Charly Spriet’s company will distribute the Dominican brand from January 1, 2026.

Albana Tobacco will take over distribution of the entire Arturo Fuente catalog in France starting January 1, 2026, its manager, Charly Spriet, announced to L’Amateur.

The company has already been distributing cigars manufactured by Fuente for the American company Prometheus (God of Fire, Opus X Lost City, etc.) for several months. Starting next year, it will be able to offer all eight classic lines from the Dominican brand and the five Opus X lines.

Prices are currently being registered with Customs. Charly Spriet assures that he will offer prices slightly lower than those of the previous distributor, Soditab: approximately €1 less on the classic lines and a few euros less on the Opus X.

Until last August, outside of the United States and the Dominican Republic, all local importers of Fuente cigars had to source them from Arturo Fuente International, an entity managed by the Meerapfel family in Belgium. In France, Soditab handled distribution in partnership with the Meerapfel family. But on August 15th, Carlito Fuente announced the end of the “distribution relationship” between the two family businesses, without providing further explanation.

Distributors already appointed in Switzerland, Germany, and Spain

In Switzerland, the new distributor was announced a few days ago: GOLD & Co, owned by Alexis Aazam Zanganeh. For Germany, Peter Witzke, Managing Director of Kopp Tobacco GmbH, told L’Amateur that his company has been confirmed as the exclusive distributor for Germany. The same is true for Spain, where Honorio Tortosa assures that La Casa del Tabaco/Gesinta will continue to distribute Arturo Fuente cigars.
