In Spain, a special edition for the 160th anniversary of Hoyo de Monterrey
Classic Hoyo de Río Seco offered in special packaging to celebrate the event.

Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo de Río Seco 160th Anniversary is a special edition created for the Spanish market to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the Hoyo de Monterrey brand, one of the six “global brands” in the Cuban catalog.
The Hoyo de Monterrey brand owes its origins to the plantation of the same name located in San Juan y Martínez, in the heart of the Vuelta Abajo region, explains Tabacalera SLU, distributor of Cuban cigars in Spain. It was the Catalan José Gener who first used the plantation’s name for the brand in 1865.
1,000 numbered boxes are available now at select Spanish tobacconists.
Each box contains 10 classic Le Hoyo de Río Seco cigars (140 mm x 56) adorned with a commemorative band celebrating the brand’s 160th anniversary.
The price announced by Tabacalera is €36 per cigar.
