Three New Habanos In Switzerland, Including The Very Rare Montecristo Herederos
Anticipated since 2020, the Montecristo Herederos arrives in Switzerland next week, alongside the Cohiba Vistosos and the Trinidad Villa.
Announced at the Festival del Habano in February 2020—marking the 30th anniversary of the La Casa del Habano (LCDH) franchise and the 85th anniversary of the brand—the Montecristo Herederos was thought to have fallen victim to the Covid pandemic.
However, much like the Cohiba Novedosos from the 2019 release that appeared in Andorra a few weeks ago, the Montecristo Herederos has finally been released in Switzerland this summer, 2026. Reserved for LCDH and Habanos Specialist (HS) outlets, it is a Churchill-sized cigar measuring 162 mm in length with a 47 ring gauge.
Presented in humidified boxes of 20 cigars, the Montecristo Herederos is sold at a recommended price of CHF 59 per stick (approx. €64).
Trinidad Villa (LCDH + HS)
In a more traditional vein, the Trinidad Villa—also reserved for LCDH and HS outlets—made its world premiere in Mexico last November and is currently arriving in Swiss shops.
This is also a Churchill (170 mm x 47). It comes in boxes of 12. Recommended price: CHF 75 per stick (approx. €81).
Cohiba Vistosos
Finally, the Cohiba Vistosos, originally reserved for duty-free shops, will also be available in Swiss stores in a few days.
This large robusto (145 mm x 53) offered in a humidified box of 10 pieces is sold at the price of 260 CHF/piece (approx. €281).
These three cigars will be available from Tuesday July 21 in LCDHs in Switzerland and a week later at Habanos Specialists in the country.
